About the
Role:
The Charge Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a healthcare setting. This position involves overseeing nursing staff, coordinating patient care activities, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. The Charge Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions. Additionally, this role requires effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes. Ultimately, the Charge Nurse is pivotal in fostering a safe and supportive environment for both patients and staff. Part-time evening hours or part-time night shift hours available.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current RN license in the state of Missouri. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a charge nurse role or leadership position.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care. Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary, documenting all changes accurately. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
