Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator for our Med Surg unit. In this leadership-oriented bedside role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to adult patients, oversee daily unit flow, and support nursing staff. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and updating care plans, administering medications, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, mentor clinical staff, support performance improvement initiatives, and promote a compassionate, patient-centered environment aligned with HCA's mission and values. Responsibilities Coordinate and deliver direct nursing care to adult Med Surg patients Perform comprehensive patient assessments and update individualized care plans Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition promptly Oversee daily unit workflow and support bedside nursing staff Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety, and quality standards Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on patient care Provide patient and family education on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans Mentor and coach nursing staff to support professional growth Participate in performance improvement and patient experience initiatives Required Skills Clinical assessment Acute care nursing Medical-surgical nursing Care coordination Patient education Electronic Health Records (EHR) Medication administration Staff supervision Quality and safety compliance Interdisciplinary collaboration
