Primarily Day Shift / Monday-Friday, with 1 week call rotation per month Lead With Purpose. Make an Impact. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to join our leadership team at our skilled nursing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys leading a team, developing staff, and ensuring residents receive exceptional, person-centered care. As the RN Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit while working closely with the Director of Nursing, nursing supervisors, CNAs, physicians, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and clinical oversight for an assigned nursing unit Supervise, support, and coach RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff Ensure residents receive appropriate, timely, and compassionate nursing care Monitor changes in resident condition and ensure appropriate follow-up and documentation Participate in resident assessments, care planning, and interdisciplinary team meetings Review clinical documentation, physician orders, treatments, and medication administration for accuracy and compliance Assist with admissions, readmissions, transfers, and discharges Monitor wounds, falls, infections, weight changes, behaviors, and other clinical risk areas Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and members of the interdisciplinary team Assist with staff education, competency development, and performance management Promote strong teamwork, accountability, and professional standards throughout the unit Assist with staffing and ensure appropriate nursing coverage for the unit Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable state and federal requirements Assist the Director of Nursing with survey readiness and plans of correction as needed Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff Qualifications Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri , or ability to practice in Missouri through applicable Nurse Licensure Compact privileges Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program Previous nursing experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or a related healthcare setting preferred Previous supervisory, charge nurse, or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills Knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards of nursing practice Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to effectively coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment What We're Looking For We are looking for more than a nurse who can manage a unit.
