Job Description

Where You Will Work:
The Pediatric and Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte is a secure, acute care psychiatric unit providing 24/7 stabilization and treatment for patients experiencing serious mental health conditions. This unit serves patients typically ages 5-17 who require a higher level of care due to safety concerns such as suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors, psychosis, severe mood disorders, or behavioral dysregulation.
We're Looking For:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Current RN licensure in the appropriate state Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (preferred) Previous management experience (preferred) Behavioral Health Pediatric Experience and Supervisor Experience. BSN required Candidates hired or promoted without a BSN must: Enroll in a BSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer Complete the BSN program within 3 years of enrollment BLS certification required per policy guidelines Professional certification (clinical or leadership) required within 1 year of eligibility for the certification exam Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required by the department's nurse leader
What You'll Do:
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
About This Location:
Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center, is the only dedicated psychiatric emergency department in the region, and provides treatment across
