Job Description

The House Supervisor is a registered nurse responsible for directing the placement of patients across different hospital units house-wide, ensuring safe, efficient bed utilization, supporting and offering guidance regarding staff schedules to accommodate patient needs, and overseeing the overall flow of patient admissions and discharges, often acting as a key decision-maker during high-volume or complex patient placement situations.
Education/Certification:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Current NC RN license or compact State licensure Current BLS certification upon hire, NIHSS & NCI Certification within 90 days, ALS and Notary Public Certification within 6 (six) months, PALS certification within 9 (nine) months.
Experience:
Two years Supervisory or Charge Nurse Experience preferred. Minimum 5 (five) years of experience in a hospital setting or 3 (three) years in a high acuity setting.
