Job Description
Surgical Services RN Manager opportunity in Southeastern North Carolina is calling—lead an elite perioperative team, shape outcomes, and elevate the Operating Room with innovation, heart, and career-defining impact 🚀.
As a Surgical Services RN Manager, this healthcare organization offers the best of both worlds: the scale, stability, and research-driven rigor of an academic-aligned system and the agility to pilot new care models that advance a mission-driven, patient-first culture with measurable outcomes. The Surgical Services RN Manager will step into a setting known for high-acuity clinical exposure, strong reputation for clinical excellence and safety, streamlined workflows and clinician-friendly tools, and an award-winning workplace culture that champions shared governance, evidence-based practice, and leadership that truly listens.
In the Operating Room, the Surgical Services RN Manager will guide a dynamic perioperative environment (main surgical suite, OR theaters, and procedural spaces) where complex cases, multispecialty service lines, and modern technology accelerate nursing leadership growth. The Manager will lead within a major academic health system framework recognized by U.S. News & World Report as High Performing across multiple conditions, anchored by strong performance in key clinical service lines and chronic disease management, serving as the primary acute-care hub for the county and surrounding rural communities, delivering high-impact care for a high-need, critical-access region, and fully supported by academic system resources, standards, and clinical infrastructure.
Reporting directly to the Director of Surgical Services, the Surgical Services RN Manager will have 24/7 operational accountability for the OR with resources that include educator support, charge leadership, business analytics, and perioperative informatics. The Surgical Services RN Manager will drive staffing and scheduling, surgeon and anesthesia collaboration, quality improvement and infection prevention, block utilization and throughput, supply chain and SPD partnership, budgeting, accreditation readiness, onboarding and competency validation, and a culture of Just Culture safety.
Set in Southeastern North Carolina, the Surgical Services RN Manager will enjoy a lifestyle defined by mild four-season weather, quick access to beaches, rivers, state parks, and trails, vibrant arts and music scenes, regional festivals, and easy weekend trips to coastal towns and major metros. Benefit from a favorable cost of living, varied housing options from historic neighborhoods to new builds, short commutes with improving transportation corridors, strong K-12 and higher-education options, diverse dining from Carolina barbecue to global cuisines, fitness and sports programs, and supportive community networks.
The role comes with competitive compensation and is paired with a comprehensive benefits package. Connect with a Clinical Management Consultants recruiter today to explore the full opportunity and take your career to the OR fast lane 📲.
