POSITION SUMMARY
Provide administrative and clinical responsibility for functioning of nursing services for the facility. Provide leadership and role modeling for assigned staff, Supervises direct patient care, Nursing management, assessments, and crisis management. Ensures environmental safety for the patient population. Provide training and education to staff, patients, and families.QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Experience:
- One-year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults, adolescents and/or children preferred.
- One year of progressive experience in management and/or supervision.
Licensure/Certification:
- Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License
- Current North Carolina Driver's License
- Current CPR Certification
CPI Certification Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
- Knowledge of milieu management.
- Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties.
- Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects.
- Ability to safely implement treatment procedures.
- Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families
- Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation
