Schedule Full Time Job Description . Behavioral health nursing is not background work. It is the connective tissue of care — the place where medication management meets human complexity, where clinical judgment and compassionate presence are equally required. West Central Behavioral Health is looking for a Nurse Supervisor who understands that. We are a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) serving individuals and families across the Upper Valley and beyond. Our nursing team sits at the center of integrated, multidisciplinary care — working alongside psychiatrists, clinicians, case managers, and primary care providers to deliver treatment that is safe, whole-person, and genuinely responsive to each client's needs. In this role, you will shape clinical practice, and help build something lasting. You will supervise staff, oversee medication management, serve as the critical link between patients and providers, and contribute to quality improvement efforts that make care better — not just for individual clients, but across the agency. If you are a nurse leader who believes that behavioral health care done well can change lives, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities (partial list):
  • Orients nursing staff to clinical policies, procedures, and agency practices.
  • Provides direct supervision and leadership to nursing staff, including scheduling, coordination, and delegation of nursing tasks.
  • Evaluates medication status, monitors side effects, and coordinates treatment with physicians and psychiatrists.
  • Triages client and staff clinical inquiries and escalates concerns to psychiatric providers as appropriate.
  • Ensures accurate and timely clinical documentation, assessments, and billing-related coding.
  • Tracks and evaluates nursing workload and staffing levels to meet program and departmental priorities.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and supports professional development of supervisees.
  • Ensures compliance with agency policies, state regulations, and nursing standards of practice.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Builds and maintains a Community Health Nursing Program aligned with agency mission and best practices.
  • Provides clinical education, guidance, and training to nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources in hiring, onboarding, and employee performance processes.
  • Represents the agency professionally in internal and external meetings and community interactions. Additional Information Help for Additional Information.
  • BSN and MSN preferred, Licensed RN in New Hampshire
  • Three years' experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably in an outpatient/office setting
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills
  • Must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to learn necessary computer and technical skills essential to the position and Agency needs
  • Ability to relate to staff, clients and community around a mental health system
  • Knowledge of and experience with electronic health record preferred
  • Prior experience in a community mental health environment preferred
