Job Description

Charge Nurse Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Charge Nurse to provide clinical leadership and ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care. The Charge Nurse is responsible for supervising nursing staff, coordinating daily operations, administering medications and treatments, and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations. Responsibilities Supervise and support licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants during assigned shifts. Coordinate resident care to ensure quality, safety, and continuity. Administer medications, treatments, and assessments according to physician orders. Respond promptly to changes in resident condition and initiate appropriate interventions. Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards. Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers. Mentor, coach, and educate nursing staff. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote a positive team environment. Qualifications Current RN or LPN license in good standing. Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or assisted living preferred. Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. CPR certification required.
