Fees for Service, paid on a Weekly basis Are you a dedicated and passionate Field Nursing Supervisor with a commitment to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals while providing compassionate home care? If so, we would be thrilled to have you on our team! The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of nursing practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and engage students while also supervising field nursing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of nursing, ensuring a deep understanding of the material to be presented to students and applied in the field. Exhibit strong communication skills to articulate complex medical and scientific concepts both in educational settings and during patient care. Provide constructive feedback to students and caregivers to facilitate learning and development. Possess high-level interpersonal skills to offer constructive feedback to students and troubleshoot with family, clinicians, and aides to ensure safe patient care. Build supportive and encouraging relationships with both field staff and patients. Showcase creative problem-solving abilities to address challenges related to student performance, patient care, and field nursing activities. Utilize well-developed interpersonal skills to engage and inspire students, fostering a positive and dynamic learning experience while providing ongoing support and guidance to caregivers in the field. Perform supervision for nurses and HHAs in the field on independent cases. Engage closely with the coordination team to support the facilitation of training and development placements for new hires. Communicate effectively with the home care team, private duty shift nurses, families and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey. Prior experience in nursing education or clinical instruction is highly desirable. BSN preferred. 3 years of supervisory experience and home care experience. Strong Ventilator, Tracheostomy, and G-Tube experience preferred. Demonstrate ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with EMR preferred, but not required. Excellent time management skills.
