The Nurse Manager Emergency Services will guide operations within a small, 25-bed critical access hospital that delivers 24/7 emergency care with fast access to lab, imaging, and pharmacy. The Emergency Department Nurse Manager supports a high-acuity, lower-volume setting with efficient throughput, established transfer agreements, and seamless coordination with regional specialty centers. A close knit team prides itself on low nurse-to-patient ratios, rapid triage, and consistent adherence to ENA and EMTALA standards. Cross-training, tele-consult services, and streamlined protocols enable the Nurse Manager Emergency Services to maintain exceptional readiness for trauma, stroke, cardiac, pediatric, and behavioral health presentations.

Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services and Critical Care and partnering with Senior Leadership, the Nurse Manager Emergency Services provides administrative and clinical oversight across Emergency Services and hospital-wide initiatives alongside a friendly, diverse interdisciplinary team. The ER Nurse Manager leads policy and procedure development, budgeting and compliance, staffing and scheduling, performance management, and staff development. This role coordinates patient care delivery, drives quality improvement, strengthens readiness for DNV/Joint Commission surveys, and ensures compliance with
HIPAA, OSHA, ENA
standards, and EMTALA.
