Within a 200-bed acute care hospital in an international healthcare network, the Clinical RN Manager Pediatrics guides a family-centered pediatric service for infants through adolescents. The Pediatric Clinical Nursing Manager leverages child-life support, age-appropriate equipment, and calming, kid-forward spaces. Care pathways link with Emergency, NICU, perioperative, and rehabilitation services, with expedited transfers when needed. Throughput, acuity-based staffing, and continuous improvement keep the unit reliable and ready.
Reporting to a Director of Pediatric and Women's Services, the Clinical RN Manager Pediatrics partners with physician champions, educators, and quality leaders. A friendly team of nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, social workers, and child-life experts reflects a diverse, collaborative culture. The Pediatric RN Manager drives shared governance, evidence-based protocols, regulatory readiness, and prudent staffing and budget oversight. Responsibilities include onboarding, preceptor growth, competency validation, performance coaching, and recognition for excellence.
