Role:

As an Nurse Supervisor at Neighborhood, you'll use your training, organizational skills, attention to detail, and influencing skills as you perform nursing tasks and help ensure an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities include:

Provides direct leadership to the LPN desk nurses and MA support team including daily oversight, on-boarding of new employees, and department scheduling Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care team by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport and participating in team problem solving methods Collaborates and successfully carries out, with the other nursing supervisors, recruitment, scheduling, training, development, coaching, performance appraisals, and, when necessary, progressive discipline of nursing staff to allow for a cohesive nursing team Develops, maintains and holds nursing department staff accountable to training protocols for all positions within the nursing department Maintains nursing job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results Intercedes to support patients in clinical issues and complaints as soon as able; assists in de-escalating, documenting, and supporting resolution Functions as a Licensed Practical Nurse in direct patient care You will be primarily based at our Mattina location, 300 Niagara St. and our Bridgeview location at 1050 Niagara St. in Buffalo, and will travel to other Neighborhood sites in Western New York as needed. Education and Skills needed:

Graduated from an accredited nursing school Five years of nursing experience, minimum Must possess a current NYS LPN license Must have current CPR certification Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through Superb organizational skills Strong influencing skills Self-starter with the ability to work proactively and take initiative Results-oriented; creative and persistent in accomplishing tasks Solutions-driven with a systems orientation Highly responsive, timely, accurate and thorough in follow-up and follow-through Highly flexible, positive and results-oriented attitude Excellent in managing shifting priorities and timelines Outstanding project and time-management skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, comfortable using document management software Proficiency in Adobe and database management Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent judgment and discretion

$32.79 an hour based on a full-time, 40 hour work week
