Job Description
Position Summary:
Under the supervision and/or direction of a Nurse, performs various duties assisting the nursing staff, operations of the nursing unit, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Understands and adheres to GCMC's Compliance Standards as they appear in GCMC's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and GCMC regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.Experience:
- Previous experience in clerical or receptionist position
- Hospital experience or satisfactory completion of medical secretary training program preferred.
- CPR certification recommended
- Specialty Unit (ICU): Successful completion of arrhythmia interpretation class within 90 days of hire
