Position RN Charge Nurse

• Med/Surg Tele Unit Evening Shift Orleans Community Health at Medina Memorial Hospital has an immediate opening for a dependable and experienced RN to serve in a leadership capacity of our 25-bed Critical Access Hospital Med/Surg Telemetry Unit. Shift and Status Monday
• Friday
• Weekdays only No holidays or weekends 3pm-11pm Excellent compensation and benefits package including paid vacation, sick time and retirement plans.

Position Summary The Charge Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care administered to the Medical/Surgical unit during a designated period of time. The Charge Nurse works directly under the Nurse Manager, overseeing and supervising the evening activity of our med/surg rehab unit. Essential functions include supervising the nursing care administered in the unit, managing care plans, admissions and discharges, and preparing for the Department of Health survey. This position ensures that quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the New York Nurse Practice Act, the Hospital and nursing standards. Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. New York State licensure with current registration. Previous change nurse and/or nursing supervisory experience required.
