Join Our Team as a Weekend Registered Nurse (RN)! Wedgewood Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Weekend RN to play a vital leadership role in delivering exceptional care to our residents. What You Bring:
Current New York State RN license in good standing Previous experience in geriatrics and/or a supervisory role preferred Strong clinical judgment, leadership ability, and a commitment to high-quality care
What You'll Do:
Provide clinical leadership and oversight of resident care during weekend shifts Conduct regular rounds to assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and provide hands-on care as needed Ensure accurate, timely documentation and reporting of resident status Communicate effectively with physicians regarding changes in condition and carry out orders appropriately Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical policies, including proper narcotic management Coordinate lab work and follow through on medical orders and treatments Proactively identify opportunities to enhance quality of care and implement improvements Collaborate with the Infection Control Nurse to address any potential concerns and initiate appropriate precautions Maintain strong communication with leadership, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to ensure continuity of care Adapt to changing needs and priorities while maintaining a high standard of professionalism
