Join our team as a RN Supervisor at the award winning Masonic Care Community, with a hourly range of $42/hr - $50/hr Voted the best skilled nursing facility in the Mohawk Valley, MCC is the area leader in providing senior care. SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Resident Care Management
  • Ensures high-quality, resident-centered care using nursing standards and the nursing process.
  • Coordinates interdisciplinary care with physicians, staff, residents, and families.
  • Addresses resident/family concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Identifies care trends and implements improvement strategies. Operational Management
  • Oversees Neighborhood operations during off-shifts, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant care delivery.
  • Monitors and contributes to quality assurance activities and regulatory compliance.
  • Implements and interprets facility and nursing policies across staff, residents, and visitors.
  • Participates in workplace safety and hazard mitigation.
  • Supports budgeting, cost containment, and operational improvements. Human Resource Management
  • Assists with staff performance evaluations, discipline, and development.
  • Analyzes staffing needs, manages schedules, and ensures appropriate staff coverage.
  • Fosters a professional and educational environment for staff growth.
  • Monitors orientation progress of new employees and adjusts onboarding as needed.
  • Encourages staff participation in committees and professional development. Professional Growth and Leadership
  • Maintains and enhances clinical and leadership skills through continuing education.
  • Participates in departmental meetings, external organizations, and industry events.
  • Communicates effectively across all levels and departments.
  • Applies critical thinking and evidence-based practices in decision-making. Accountability and Leadership
  • Directly responsible for resident care quality during assigned shifts.
  • Supervises nursing staff and ensures adherence to policies, standards, and regulations.
  • Promotes teamwork, collaboration, and empowerment among staff.
  • Represents the Nursing Department positively both internally and externally.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelors in Nursing, Management, or related field as required, or actively working toward degree requirement.
  • Current license as a registered nurse.
  • Five years of healthcare experience with supervisory responsibility.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
Position involves a variety of complex situations requiring good judgement, critical thinking skills, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, management and organizational ability, and clinical management skills. Position requires good physical and mental health. Must pass Medication Testing and Skills Proficiency on an annual basis. The base range for this position is $42 - $50 per hour commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education & prior accomplishments. The position may be eligible for additional compensation not listed here, including but not limited to shift differentials, incentives or bonuses, as applicable.
