in directing and coordinating daily nursing operations and clinical programs Participate in on-call rotation with other nurse managers for 24/7 clinical support Ensure nursing staff follow facility policies, procedures, and all federal, state, and local regulations for long term care and skilled nursing Coordinate nursing services with other departments to support each resident's comprehensive plan of care Lead unit huddles and meetings with RNs, LPNs, and STNAs to plan services, programs, and activities Complete accident/incident reports, assessments, medical forms, evaluations, and required charting in a timely, accurate manner Develop and assign daily work assignments for nursing staff and assist with clinical tasks as needed Inform nursing staff of new admissions, expected arrival times, and room assignments; ensure rooms are prepared Welcome and orient new residents and families to the unit; escort residents to rooms as needed and support a positive experience Make daily rounds and accompany physicians as needed; follow up on orders and interventions Provide direct resident care as necessary to support the team and maintain clinical standards Monitor and maintain adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment for the unit Ensure staff understand and follow each resident's individualized care plan and clinical goals Qualifications - Registered Nurse (RN) Required Current, unencumbered, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio required Nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or graduation from an approved RN program Minimum of 2 years of supervisory/charge nurse experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, long term care facility, or related healthcare setting Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices, long term care regulations, and skilled nursing standards of care Demonstrated leadership and supervisory ability with a willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise RNs, LPNs, and STNAs Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, physicians, and visitors Ability to make independent clinical and managerial decisions, remain professional under pressure, and handle challenging resident behaviors with patience and tact Customer service-oriented mindset with a cheerful, positive disposition and strong problem-solving skills Experience with PointClickCare or similar electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse , RN Unit Manager , RN Supervisor , or RN Charge Nurse with a strong background in long term care or skilled nursing who is ready to step into a visible leadership position and make a meaningful impact on residents, families, and staff.
