The Director of Nursing will oversee a small, highly efficient Ambulatory Surgery Center featuring 1 operating room and 1 procedure room, engineered for safe, consistent, and streamlined care delivery. This leader owns the perioperative continuum—pre-op, intra-op, and PACU—supported by intelligent workflow tools and an integrated EHR. The center manages approximately 5-20 cases per day across a multi-specialty portfolio that includes ENT and orthopedics. Advanced sterilization platforms, standardized preference cards, and data-informed scheduling minimize variability and enhance reliability, while the Director ensures survey readiness, rapid-cycle improvement, and a premium patient experience from admission through discharge.

Reporting directly to the CNO, the Director partners with a collegial team of RNs, surgical technologists, anesthesia professionals, sterile processing experts, and administrative colleagues. Core responsibilities span clinical governance; rigorous quality and safety oversight; regulatory compliance and survey preparedness; and proactive risk mitigation aligned with CMS and accreditation standards. The role also includes stewardship of staff education, hiring, coaching, scheduling, productivity, and engagement, as well as cultivating strong relationships with surgeons, vendors, and community stakeholders. Through hands-on leadership, the Director builds teamwork, accountability, and continuous excellence across perioperative services.
