Summary The Health Services Director is an essential leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Health Services department. With a focus on ensuring the highest standards of care, this position requires a compassionate leader who demonstrates exceptional clinical expertise, organizational skills, and an unwavering commitment to both residents and staff. This role is responsible for creating a nurturing and safe environment where our residents can thrive, while also managing regulatory compliance, staff training, and quality improvement initiatives. This role plays a crucial part in shaping the overall health and well-being of our community and requires a deep understanding of senior care, particularly in Memory Care settings. Key Responsibilities Resident Care & Well-being Exhibit sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage resident care. Coordinate and facilitate family care conferences Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid as needed, while ensuring appropriate notifications are made to families, management, and physicians in a timely manner. Collaborate with all departments to coordinate resident care Ensure all required assessments, including monthly weights and vital signs, are completed, and appropriate actions are taken based on changes in health status. Ensure that care staff adheres to resident care plans, as required by state regulations, and document services consistently. Act as a liaison for ancillary health services, ensuring orders for services are obtained, third-party providers visit as scheduled, and communications are clear and timely. Health Services Systems Management Ensure that resident assessments and service plans are completed per protocol in compliance with state and federal regulations. Monitor EMR reports to ensure that assessments, medications, nursing notes, and incident reports are documented and entered accurately. Oversee the Medication Program, as well as conducting routine reviews. Report any resident incidents, changes in condition, or unusual occurrences to the Executive Director and ensure that all required follow-up actions are taken. Staff Leadership & Development Model a positive attitude and foster effective interpersonal relationships across the team. Oversee the hiring, training, promotion, disciplinary actions, and termination of Health Services staff, ensuring consistency and fairness in all personnel decisions. Complete required staff performance reviews in a timely and constructive manner, providing feedback and guidance for professional development. Lead initiatives to support census building and actively engage in programs designed to increase community awareness and occupancy. Education and Experience A current and valid RN PA license is required and must be in good standing with the state licensing board. A minimum of 2 years of experience in senior care, with a focus on Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, or similar conditions. Experience in a leadership or management role within healthcare is required. Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance Familiarity with Point Click Care and ADP is highly valued Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Additional certifications in geriatric or dementia care are beneficial. Must be at least 18 years old Skills and Requirements Leadership:

Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience assessing complex situations and making well-informed decisions. Regulatory Knowledge:
Deep understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations, with a commitment to maintaining compliance. Technology Proficiency:
Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and healthcare-related software applications. Customer Service:
Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and building positive relationships with residents and their families. Flexibility:
Ability to work flexible hours and be available for off-duty hours in case of clinical concerns or emergencies.
