Program Manager, Community Health Nursing

The United Mine Workers of America Health and Retirement Funds (the Funds) has an immediate opening for a Program Manager, Community Health Nursing. The Funds is a group of six multiemployer plans that provide health and pension benefits primarily to retired coal miners and their eligible dependents. The Program Manager, Community Health Nursing will be responsible for coordinating and integrating the Department's health programs, initiatives, and activities in the field. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides clinical assessments in the homes of beneficiaries to coordinate the delivery of health services to improve health, well-being and quality of life. Collaborates and maintains close working relationships with providers and community agencies. Promotes beneficiary access and participation in health promotion, disease prevention, and health education programs. Develops and implements innovative programs that will assist beneficiaries in their health and daily living. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent plus 4-6 years related experience and/or training. Working knowledge of current and new health care technology and treatment, including medical and drug therapies, evidence-based health education, and wellness promotion programs and interventions. Also, knowledge of industry managed care programs. Work from home opportunity. Travel required. Maintains an active RN License for all states covered by this position.
