The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and demonstrate effective management abilities in a healthcare setting. This role requires a commitment to excellence in patient care, team collaboration, and adherence to regulatory standards. Responsibilities Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Manage nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Conduct patient assessments and provide direct nursing care as needed. Ensure accurate medical documentation and maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor quality of care and implement improvement initiatives as necessary. Provide guidance on clinical best practices, including medication administration, IV insertion, and wound care. Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers to enhance patient satisfaction. Participate in utilization review processes to ensure appropriate resource allocation. Requirements Current nursing license with relevant supervisory experience in a healthcare setting. Current Home Health Care experience. Critical care experience preferred; familiarity with acute care, ICU, or emergency medicine is advantageous. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks. Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or geriatrics is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and DRG classifications. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in senior care settings is desirable. Familiarity with case management principles and discharge planning processes. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS may be beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
