Job Summary and Responsibilities This is a hybrid position for the Breast Clinic Navication as well as Medical Oncology Clinical RN. The schedule for this position is four 8 hour shifts per week, 0800-1630. (Must be able to work Mondays and Thursdays) •No weekend or holiday requirements!

Hope Cancer Care Center Description:

The Hope Cancer Care Center at Longmont United Hospital encompasses our outpatient medical oncology and radiation oncology clinics, creating a unified, multidisciplinary treatment approach for our cancer patients. Our medical oncology clinic includes four private infusion chairs for dedicated chemotherapy infusions and an in-office bone marrow biopsy room. The radiation oncology clinic features the latest technology to deliver external beam radiation for malignant and non-malignant diagnoses via the use of a linear accelerator. Our team combines the precision of an elite breast surgeon with the specialized vigilance of a high-risk nurse practitioner to provide a powerhouse of clinical expertise. Together, they deliver a seamless blend of advanced medical intervention and deeply compassionate care tailored to your unique journey. As an RN Clinical Coordinator you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit. You will not serve as a supervisor or manager; instead serve as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff, authorize work procedures and assign duties, shift charge, as well as: Demonstrating strong clinical judgment and ensuring high-quality care delivery to each patient. Acting as a vital link between physicians and the patient care team to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration. Maintaining communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates. Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Act as a professional role model for all staff by demonstrating ethical/legal/professional nursing. Promotes the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. Actively serves on unit as a registered nurse and may take patient assignments based on unit and patient needs and acuity. Job Requirements In addition to bringing HumanKindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following: Education Requirements Bachelors Degree in Nursing required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs Experience Requirements One year of Oncology RN experience Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty OCN certification, preferred Experience with breast surgery, high risk breast patients and navigation, preferred Licenses/Certification Requirements RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.

RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. Upon issuance of a new multi-state license, the former license is inactivated.
