Job Description

Grand Islander RI and V2U, part of Genesis HealthCare, seeks a Nurse-RN Supervisor to lead resident-centered care in our skilled nursing and rehab facility in Middletown, RI. In this role, you'll supervise nurses and CNAs, coordinate clinical care, support short-term rehab and long-term residents, oversee medication administration, and ensure regulatory compliance. You'll work in a compassionate, team-based environment focused on dignity, safety, and continuous improvement, with access to training, career growth, and the opportunity to make a daily impact on seniors and their families. Responsibilities Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care Coordinate and oversee daily clinical operations on assigned unit(s) Conduct assessments, develop and update individualized care plans Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes in status Ensure compliance with clinical policies, safety standards, and regulations Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams Communicate with residents and families regarding care and treatment plans Document care accurately in electronic medical records Support staff training, orientation, and performance feedback Required Skills Clinical assessment and care planning Skilled nursing and rehabilitation care Medication administration and IV therapy Supervisory and team leadership Wound care management Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Infection control and safety compliance Regulatory and LTC documentation standards Interdisciplinary care coordination Patient and family communication
