Responsible for the direction, supervision and evaluation of nursing care during hours of duty. Has responsibility for activities concerned with assigned personnel, for the evaluation of patient care, for equipment and supplies, and interdepartmental relations. Essential Functions 1.1 Assumes responsibility for the operational needs of the nursing division and for the nursing care delivered during the assigned shift 2. Essential Functions ( continued) 2.1 Consults with patients/families through primary nurse request, direct family request, and/or direct assessment of patient/family response to hospitalization. 3. Resource Utilization 7.1 Reports to work on time, prepared to work and follow hospital policies for notice of lateness/absenteeism and time off requests. 8.
