Job Description
Clinical Nurse Manager Position Summary The Clinical Nurse Manager provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, patient‑centered, high‑quality care within the department. This role oversees daily clinical operations, ensures optimal staffing and resource utilization, and supports nursing staff through mentorship, performance management, and professional development. The Clinical Nurse Manager collaborates closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and senior leadership to drive quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, patient satisfaction, and a culture of excellence. In addition, this leader plays a key role in implementing evidence‑based practices, managing departmental initiatives, and fostering an environment that promotes continuous improvement, staff engagement, and exceptional patient experiences. Qualifications Required Current South Carolina or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse (SCLLR) in good standing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Or development plan as agreed upon by CNO.. Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience Preferred Master s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Leadership or supervisory experience. National specialty certification (e.g., CNML, NE‑BC, CEN, CCRN, etc.) Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills. Ability to manage complex clinical operations and prioritize effectively. Knowledge of regulatory standards and evidence‑based nursing practice. Proficiency in problem‑solving, conflict resolution, and change management. Strong focus on patient safety, quality outcomes, and staff engagement.
