We are looking for flexible, heart-led nurse leaders to join our team on a PRN basis to ensure our residents receive continuous, top-tier care during our day shifts. The Role We are seeking a dependable, skilled Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) for 1st Shift PRN coverage! In this role, you will lead the shift's clinical operations, supervise direct care staff (CNAs/STNAs), administer medications and treatments, and serve as the primary clinical contact for residents, families, and attending physicians. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership:
Direct and oversee shift nursing care, ensuring all resident care plans, physician orders, and facility protocols are followed precisely.
Medication & Treatments:
Administer medications, perform complex wound care/treatments, and monitor resident vital signs and clinical conditions.
Team Supervision:
Guide, mentor, and support floor CNAs/STNAs during the shift, ensuring timely completion of daily care duties and resident assistance.
Documentation & Assessment:
Accurately document clinical changes, assessments, incidents, and shift reports in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Physician & Family Communication:
Communicate condition changes to attending physicians, families, and incoming shift leadership with clarity and compassion.
Qualifications Licensure:
Active, unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) .
Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required.
Experience:
Prior experience as a Charge Nurse or floor nurse in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Assisted Living, or Long-Term Care setting preferred.
Clinical Skills:
Strong assessment, medication administration, and emergency response capabilities.
Leadership Style:
Dependable, approachable, and proactive with excellent communication skills.
