Job Description

Job Duties:
Sumter East Health & Rehabilitation Cente r is seeking an experienced and compassionate Unit Manager, RN
  • Full-time to lead and oversee daily clinical operations within our skilled nursing unit.
The Unit Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and interdisciplinary coordination. This leadership role is essential to maintaining clinical excellence and positive outcomes for our residents.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff in a healthcare facility
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patient needs and physician orders
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff on medical terminology, Medicare guidelines, and care plan development
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and policies
Requirements:
  • Valid nursing license (RN)
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a supervisory role
  • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and hospice care
  • Familiarity with Medicare guidelines and regulations
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective care plans based on patient needs
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
