AWAREmed Health & Wellness Resource Center Lead Clinical Coordinator (Medical Assistant or LPN Preferred)

$18-22 per hour, depending on experience

3 years in a medical office, specialty practice, wellness clinic, or outpatient healthcare setting About AWAREmed AWAREmed Health & Wellness Resource Center is an integrative and functional medicine clinic dedicated to helping patients identify and address the root causes of chronic illness through personalized care, advanced diagnostics, wellness therapies, regenerative medicine, and patient education. We are seeking an experienced, organized, compassionate, and highly accountable Lead Clinical Coordinator to support both clinical and administrative operations. This role combines patient care coordination, scheduling, laboratory coordination, provider support, patient communication, and clinic operations. This is not a traditional Medical Assistant position. We are looking for someone who enjoys patient care, organization, communication, problem-solving, and helping support clinic operations while delivering an exceptional patient experience. This position offers growth potential into a future Clinical Operations Manager or Office Manager role. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support Take and document vital signs Update medical histories and patient records Prepare patients for provider visits Assist providers during examinations and procedures Assist with IV therapies, wellness treatments, and patient preparation Collect and process laboratory specimens Maintain treatment rooms and clinical supplies Follow infection-control and patient safety protocols Patient Care & Communication Answer incoming patient calls professionally and compassionately Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments Conduct patient follow-up calls and outreach Coordinate referrals and medical records requests Assist patients with questions regarding services and appointments Help ensure every patient receives an exceptional experience from first contact through ongoing care Clinical & Administrative Coordination Document patient interactions in EMR and CRM systems Coordinate laboratory testing and track results Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Monitor inventory and clinic supplies Assist with daily clinic workflow and organization Support provider schedules and patient flow Assist with implementation of clinic systems and procedures Accountability & Operations Maintain accurate daily activity reports Track patient follow-up, scheduling, and lead conversion activities Ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time Communicate operational issues proactively Follow clinic systems, SOPs, and workflows consistently Assist in maintaining high standards of patient service and operational efficiency Support staff training and workflow improvement initiatives when needed Required Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or equivalent healthcare experience Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical office, specialty practice, wellness clinic, or outpatient healthcare setting Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Strong computer and technology skills Ability to learn and utilize EMR, CRM, and practice management software Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently and take initiative Professional appearance and demeanor Commitment to accountability, follow-through, and patient-centered care Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of medical office experience Experience in integrative, functional, regenerative, wellness, or specialty medicine Experience with laboratory coordination and patient follow-up Experience with scheduling and provider calendar management Experience training or supervising staff Leadership, clinic operations, or workflow management experience Experience with CRM systems and patient communication platforms Success Traits The ideal candidate is: Highly accountable Detail-oriented Compassionate and patient-focused Self-motivated Organized and efficient Solution-oriented Dependable and trustworthy Able to communicate clearly and professionally Comfortable handling multiple priorities Committed to completing tasks without constant supervision Benefits Paid Time Off Employee discounts on select services Professional growth opportunities Supportive team environment Opportunity for advancement into leadership and clinic operations roles We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our practice, make a meaningful impact on patients' lives, and become an essential part of the future of AWAREmed Health & Wellness Resource Center.
