Within the emergency room, the Trauma Nurse Manager will guide performance in a modern ER footprint that includes trauma center capabilities and connections to free-standing emergency room access points to optimize patient flow and outcomes. You'll lead a fast-paced, high-acuity team with strong physician collaboration, driving quality, patient safety, and throughput initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director of Emergency Services and partnering closely with the ED Medical Director, the Trauma Nurse Manager leads assistant nurse managers, charge RNs, and clinical educators to champion staffing excellence, trauma activations, triage optimization, surge response, and continuous quality improvement. As an ED Nurse Manager, responsibilities span budget stewardship, talent development, accreditation readiness, performance metrics, and multidisciplinary coordination with pharmacy, respiratory therapy, social work, case management, and radiology.
