Register Nurse (Charge Nurse)

Registered Nurse (full-time position & On-call Available) Shinnery Oaks Community has a full time Registered Nurse position open. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and the Administrator, the Registered Nurse provides nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations. Registered Nurse must supervise Certified Nurse Assistants staff in the delivery of direct resident care.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the state of Texas
• Ability to relate positively to residents and families.
• Must be able to supervise and work cooperatively with other employees
• Capable of maintaining regular attendance for scheduled hours
• Available to be on call
• Meet all local health regulations
• Physical and sensory requirements ( with or without the aide of mechanical devices): walking, reaching, and pulling, ability to hear and respond to pages, ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures, ability to read and write, ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with residents, families, personnel and consultants; the ability to remain calm under stress.
• BLS
