Maintain both management and clinical nurse roles in the department. Serve as director in director's absence. The Clinical Manager assists with the day-to-day operations of the Acute Rehab Unit through the use of good clinical, management, and leadership skills. The Clinical Manager oversees the scheduling process to ensure adequate coverage of the unit, assists with orientation and training of staff, and interviewing and hiring of new staff. The Clinical Manager monitors daily staffing to ensure productivity standards are met and to provide support to the staff as needed.
Required Education:
Bachelor of Science in
Nursing Preferred Education:
Master of Science in Nursing with advanced certification
Required Skills:
Leadership, organization, fiscal stewardship. Knowledge of critical care practices. Act as a mentor, coach and develop others, act as a role model. Attentive to details. Required Licensure / Registration /
Certification:
Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Texas, BLS, ACLS Preferred Licensure / Registration /
Certification:
Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN)
Required Experience:
At least one year clinical experience as a charge nurse or at least one year clinical experience and experience in other leadership role.
Preferred Experience:
3-5 years as charge nurse or other leadership experience; experience on an Acute Rehab Unit
