Job Summary and Qualifications The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services is responsible for assisting the Administrative Director of Emergency Services with all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision and facility goals and performance improvement programs. The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. You will establish effective working relationships with all constituencies, including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. You will identify and remedy through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. You will work with Senior Management in meeting facility goals. You will act as a coordinator of the Chest Pain Center, with a focus on efficient care of ACS patients. As a member the Medical City McKinney team, you will make a significant contribution to the public's perception of the hospital.What qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required. MSN degree preferred.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current RN licensure by the State of Texas or from a Compact State if you declare the compact State your Primary State of Residence required. Current American Heart Association or American Red CrossBLS, ACLS & PALS
provider required.TNCC. CEN
preferred.EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years of recent management or quality management experience in an acute care facility required. Cardiovascular clinical experience is preferred. Medical City McKinney opened its doors more than 90 years ago. We are a 285+ bed acute care hospital. We serve the residents of McKinney and northern Collin County. Our main campus is a Level III Trauma Center. We provide emergency services at our main campus and at Medical City ER Stonebridge. We have cardiovascular and neurological services. We offer general surgery, orthopedics and women's services. Additionally, a Level II neonatal intensive care unit and behavioral health services. Medical City McKinney is a Primary Stroke Center. We are also a stroke rehabilitation center. We are certified by The Joint Commission for total hip and total knee replacement. We are a part of the Medical City network of hospitals.
