Job Description
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse Manager (RN) to lead a high-performing clinical team in a fast-paced emergency care environment. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining efficient workflows and strong interdisciplinary collaboration. The Nurse Manager will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and hospital leadership to support operational excellence, staff development, and optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department, including staffing, workflow management, and patient care delivery Lead, mentor, and support a team of nursing and clinical staff to promote a positive and collaborative work environment Ensure compliance with established clinical standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes Manage staffing schedules, performance evaluations, and professional development of department staff Participate in budgeting, resource allocation, and departmental planning Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, patient safety, and clinical outcomes Address operational challenges and patient care issues in a timely and effective manner Qualifications Active RN license (compact license or ability to obtain state licensure) Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred 5+ years of progressive nursing leadership or management experience, preferably in emergency services BLS required; ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire Trauma and emergency nursing certifications (TNCC, ENPC, or CEN) preferred or obtained within established timeframe Demonstrated experience with staff supervision, budgeting, and physician collaboration Why Join Us?
