Job Description

Where You'll Work St. Luke's Health - The Woodlands Hospital is a 245 bed facility serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. The hospital has been recognized as a Best Hospital by U.S. News & World Report, and is proud to serve as the clinical home for the Dan L Duncan Cancer Center. The hospital was awarded an "A" hospital safety grade by The Leapfrog Group in both 2023 and 2025. Clinical services provided include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women's services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level III nurseries), surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorder services. Job Summary and Responsibilities As a House Supervisor, you will be a central orchestrator of care, empowering our frontline nursing teams to deliver exceptional patient experiences and drive operational excellence.

Every day, you will actively engage with patient care needs, guide and support your nursing team's growth, and champion departmental objectives. You'll fiercely advocate for your fellow nurses, fostering an environment where every individual reaches their full potential.

To thrive in this critical role, you will embody accountability and confident leadership. Your exceptional communication will shine in 1:1 interactions with physicians, consultants, and family advocates, as you skillfully navigate challenging conversations to ensure optimal performance and patient outcomes. Manages overtime and unit staffing for all nursing staff based on budget, patient acuity and census on a daily basis Communicates staffing decisions to Nurse Managers of concerned areEnsures agency nursing staff is in appropriate units at the scheduled time Resposds and intervenes in all emergency situations Coordinates all staff nurse sick calls and communicates information to the manager of concern. Responsible for the notification of on call staff Job Requirements Required Bachelors Of Nursing for Magnet or Pathway designated hospitals, upon hire and Five (5) years of clinical experience and Experience working with people of different skill, experienceand educational background
