Know Your Team:
UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system, serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our Midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region's only EMCO program, and a Level
III NICU.
Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Responsibilities Coordinates and administers care to a unit specific patient population utilizing a collaborative,multidisciplinary approach to ensure that each patient receives nursing care appropriate to his/herillness or condition. Provides clinical supervision to the clinical, professional, and auxiliary staff toensure the continuous delivery of quality patient care. Works cooperatively with appropriatemedical staff to ensure accomplishment of hospital and departmental goals. Manages departmentalactivities in accordance with hospital and departmental policy and ensures that care is deliveredconsistent with physician's orders and treatment protocols. Oversees the implementation of a plan of care appropriate to each patient's needs.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
Degree as a Registered Nurse from an accredited school of professional nursing Current Texas RN License BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of employment
Preferred Job Requirements:
Three years of inpatient/acute care nursing experience One Year of Charge Nurse experience
