This role is responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring quality resident care, and maintaining compliance with clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements. This position is ideal for a strong clinical leader who can balance hands-on care with accountability, coordination, and staff support. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate nursing services during assigned shift Ensure residents receive high-quality, timely, and appropriate nursing care Provide clinical oversight and guidance to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Make routine rounds to monitor resident condition, staffing, and care delivery Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed Monitor medication administration, treatments, and documentation Respond to changes in resident condition and notify physicians and families as appropriate Ensure adequate staffing levels and adjust assignments as needed Address staff concerns, performance issues, and workflow challenges Complete incident reports, investigations, and required documentation Support survey readiness and compliance with policies and procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and department leadership Qualifications Current, active RN or LPN license in the state Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Clear communication and documentation skills Commitment to resident safety, quality care, and staff accountability Physical Requirements Standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility Assisting with resident care as needed Exposure to clinical environments and healthcare equipment Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
