Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a vital role in overseeing patient care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with medical protocols. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of medical-surgical nursing and possess the ability to perform various clinical tasks. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Perform clinical procedures such as catheterization, diagnostic evaluations, and sterile processing. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff regarding patient care and medical terminology. Ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws and hospital policies. Participate in staff training programs and contribute to the professional development of team members. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, coding, and treatment plans. Requirements Current nursing license in good standing. Proven experience in a medical-surgical setting or similar healthcare environment. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation, and coding practices. Ability to perform specialized procedures including sonography, dermal fillers, catheterization, and dialysis as needed. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment for patients.
