We're looking for a friendly, energetic, and service-focused Diet Clerk / Nutrition Ambassador at Anaheim Regional Medical Center to help create an exceptional dining experience for our patients while supporting our Food & Nutrition Services team. Position Summary The Diet Clerk / Nutrition Ambassador serves as a vital link between patients and the Food & Nutrition Services team. This role combines patient interaction, clerical support, meal service coordination, and food service operations to ensure patients receive accurate meals and outstanding customer service throughout their stay. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist with the assembly, production, and distribution of patient meal trays for scheduled meal service and special requests. Visit patients to explain menu options, assist with meal selections, and promote patient satisfaction. Distribute, collect, and modify patient menus according to diet orders and preferences. Review and update patient information, diet changes, and meal requests within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Answer incoming calls and provide support to patients, nursing staff, and Food & Nutrition Services personnel. Conduct patient satisfaction rounds and assist in resolving service concerns. Monitor and document food service temperatures, including refrigeration logs. Support clerical functions within the diet office, including data entry, filing, and communication of diet changes. Perform meal delivery and retrieval while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Assist with cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, workstations, dining areas, kitchens, storage rooms, and other food service areas. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention guidelines. Collaborate with dietitians, nursing staff, and kitchen personnel to ensure quality patient care. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous customer service, healthcare, dietary, hospitality, or food service experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Food Handler Certification preferred.
Pay:
$23.00 per hour
