Job Description

Position Summary The Clinical Nutrition Department is seeking a Per-Diem Nutrition Technician to support the Clinical Dietitian team in providing optimal nutritional care to patients. This role includes formula preparation, breastmilk handling, and inventory support. The position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and safety of nutrition delivery to our pediatric population. Position will be required to work (2) 10 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday every other weekend. Shifts are 7am-5:30pm or 9:30am-8pm. Shift timing will be the same for both Saturday and Sunday in one weekend but may vary weekend to weekend. If candidate is available during the week as well, that would be ideal but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Clinical Dietitians in providing nutritional care, including formula preparation and food-related tasks. Prepare specialized breastmilk nutrition, including donor human milk diets, skim human milk, and high-calorie hind milk. Support inventory processes for breastmilk, formulas, supplements, and supplies. Operate specialized equipment such as Centrifuge for precise nutrition preparation.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree from an ACEND-accredited program or current enrollment in a Didactic Program in Dietetics from an ACEND-accredited program preferred.
Experience:
Ability to perform basic liquid measurements. Ability to read and understand instructions, and use basic math in formula preparation. ​​​​​​​Ability to communicate appropriately orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations. Experience with Epic or other EMR systems preferred. Experience working with Timeless Licensure /
Certifications:
ServSafe Certification preferred.
