This contract opportunity near Fairbanks, AK, allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and collaborate closely with educators and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional support.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Current Occupational Therapist licensure or eligibility in Alaska Prior experience working with school-aged children or in a pediatric setting preferred Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring Strong communication and collaboration skills Adaptable, resourceful, and dedicated to student-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' fine motor, sensory, and adaptive needs Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in compliance with IEP requirements Deliver targeted OT interventions within classroom, small group, and individual settings Consult with teachers, staff, and families regarding student progress and recommended strategies or accommodations Document services provided, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute as a valued member of the student support team This contract role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the academic and functional success of students, all while advancing your clinical skills in a supportive school community.
