Days Start date: 08/17/2026 Work setting: K-12 school-based OT services 40 hours per week anticipated, on-site during the school day Travel-friendly assignment with district collaboration and school-based teamwork Responsibilities Conduct student-focused occupational therapy evaluations to identify needs and eligibility for services under IEP guidelines Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, school participation, and functional mobility Deliver direct therapy and small-group sessions within the school day, coordinating with teachers and related service providers Recommend accommodations, classroom modifications, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology; document progress and communicate with families and the IEP team Maintain accurate, timely documentation per district and program standards; participate in ongoing data collection and progress reporting Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support safe, effective participation in classroom activities and Transition/Progress planning as applicable Requirements Active occupational therapy license in the state of Alaska Ability to work effectively in a school-based setting with students in grades K-12 Strong collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff Availability for a day shift, approximately 40 hours per week Willingness to travel to and work within the Juneau area for the assignment Compliance with district prerequisites, including background checks and any required immunizations or clearances Benefits and Support Assignment coordination and dedicated recruiter support throughout the contract Weekly payroll processing for timely compensation Standard travel support and resources to assist with assignment logistics Access to credentialing and documentation resources as needed Ongoing internal support for questions, scheduling, and contract-related needs Alignment with a national network of allied health travel opportunities (for future openings) Find more opportunities If this role isn't the perfect fit, you can explore additional OT opportunities and other travel assignments at Healthforce Healthcare LLC by visiting https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply
