9669480-35023 Job Description Step into an impactful contract role supporting students' success as a school-based Occupational Therapist. Work onsite across four schools near the Bessemer, AL region, serving a caseload of 50-60 students with varying needs. This assignment runs ASAP through June 10, offering an opportunity to make a difference within a well-established team. Your expertise will help students thrive by providing both individual and small group OT services, as well as push-in support, all tailored to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Sessions are typically 30 minutes at varied frequenciesonce a week, twice a month, or once a month depending on the IEP.

Key Qualifications:

Active and current Alabama state Occupational Therapist license/certification (proof of credentials required) Experience delivering OT services within a school setting strongly preferred Ability to effectively serve diverse student populations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Flexible, organized, and able to travel among up to four school sites Strong written and verbal communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students based on IEP specifications Document services and maintain compliance with school and state regulations Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize students functional independence in the educational setting Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, assessments, and progress monitoring as needed Adapt strategies and activities to address individual sensory, motor, and functional needs This is a meaningful opportunity to see your skills in action as part of a supportive educational community.
