School Occupational Therapist | Pinson, Alabama

Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting students and enhancing their educational journey as a contract Occupational Therapist in a vibrant school setting near Pinson, AL. This opportunity offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children across four different schools, working collaboratively with educators and families to deliver top-notch therapeutic interventions.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active, Alabama-specific Occupational Therapy certification or license (must provide proof of credential) School-based occupational therapy experience is highly desirable Strong understanding of IEP processes and tailored intervention planning Ability to work effectively both one-on-one and in small group settings Excellent communication skills with students, families, and educational staff
Core Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to students (caseload of approximately 50-60 per assignment) Conduct therapy sessions as prescribed by
IEP:
30 minutes weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly Travel between four local schools within the district, adhering to a consistent schedule of 7:45 am - 3:45 pm Implement push-in support within classroom environments when indicated Assess, document, and evaluate student progress, participating in IEP meetings and developing treatment plans tailored to student needs Maintain clear, compliant records to support student growth and regulatory guidelines
