As an integral part of our clinical team, you will develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, and support individuals with a wide range of needs—from neurodevelopmental disorders to physical rehabilitation. Your expertise will help clients achieve their goals and regain functional skills in daily activities. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional functioning. Develop personalized treatment plans targeting specific client needs, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions. Implement occupational therapy programs that promote independence and improve functional outcomes for individuals across age groups and diagnoses. Assist clients with discharge planning by coordinating care strategies and ensuring smooth transitions between care settings or home environments. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and case managers to deliver integrated patient care. Document clinical interventions accurately using electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with medical documentation standards. Support clients with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder by applying specialized strategies and evidence-based practices. Provide education and training to families, caregivers, teachers, and clients on therapeutic activities, adaptive techniques, and safety measures. Participate in case management activities to monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure optimal outcomes for each individual. Skills Extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities across various settings including pediatrics, geriatrics, acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and schools. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy assessments and treatment planning. Proven ability to assist clients with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility tasks. Experience working with children on the autism spectrum or those requiring early intervention services. Skilled in developing comprehensive care plans that incorporate client goals and evidence-based practices. Familiarity with medical terminology related to occupational therapy interventions and documentation requirements. Proficiency in managing electronic health records (EHR) systems for clinical documentation and progress tracking. Excellent client communication skills to foster trust and motivate clients throughout their therapy journey. Ability to work collaboratively within interprofessional teams to deliver holistic patient-centered care. Knowledge of post-acute care processes including discharge planning in inpatient or skilled nursing environments. Experience supporting occupational health initiatives or working within outpatient clinics focused on physical rehabilitation or worker's compensation cases.
