Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an opportunity to make a meaningful impact working with students as an Occupational Therapist in an educational setting near Lake Havasu City, AZ. This full-time contract role offers a rewarding chance to support students and collaborate with educators for the 2024-2025 school year, beginning at the end of July and continuing through May 27th. We're looking for a skilled professional eager to use their expertise in Occupational Therapy within schools to enhance student success and well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Arizona required Experience providing OT services in a school setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities Ability to adapt therapeutic interventions to a diverse student population Familiarity with IEP process and documentation Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their developmental needs
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEP goals Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure successful integration of therapy within the classroom Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress Provide guidance and recommendations to staff and families on adaptive equipment and classroom modifications Participate in IEP meetings and contribute OT expertise to multidisciplinary teams This role involves 40 hours per week on a traditional school schedule, allowing for meaningful student engagement and consistent collaboration within the school environment.
