Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity near Patagonia, AZ, specializing in delivering exceptional occupational therapy services within a dynamic educational environment. This part-time role (16 hours per week) is perfect for professionals dedicated to supporting students' development and enabling greater independence in their academic and daily lives.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist. Experience working in school settings is advantageous, though not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other professionals. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering positive student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in schools, and, as needed, in-home or through teletherapy platforms. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with students' IEP goals. Conduct assessments and evaluations to guide intervention strategies. Document therapy sessions, progress, goals, and other relevant information in accordance with school policies. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student engagement and participation. Participate in IEP meetings and staff conferences to advocate for occupational therapy services and accommodations.
