Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity near Rillito, AZ, as a part-time school-based Occupational Therapist. This 0.6 FTE, itinerant role will have you supporting students across multiple sites, addressing a range of needs from mild to severe. Your expertise will help students develop essential skills to succeed academically and socially.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active state license in Occupational Therapy is required IVP Fingerprint Card (must be current) Prefer initial certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy Previous experience working in schools is strongly preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt interventions to various student needs and settings Organized, self-motivated, and flexible in managing an itinerant caseload
Responsibilities:
Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs in accordance with their IEPs Travel between a few designated school sites as assigned Assess, plan, and deliver direct and consultative therapy interventions Document progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists to support student goals Educate staff and families about strategies for generalizing skills across environments
