About the Employer We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. BASIC FUNCTION
Under the direction of the Assistant Director-Special Education, develop, implement, and provide individual and group therapy to enhance fine motor, sensory motor and other skills and development among identified students with disabilities; evaluate and develop occupational therapy treatment plans in response to student needs and disabilities; provide consultation and training to teachers, staff, parents, and others concerning the development of student motor skills and related programs. Any combination equivalent to: bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or related field and one year experience working with students with various disabilities in a rehabilitative setting.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Valid Occupational Therapist Certification issued by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board. Valid State Occupational Therapist license. Valid California driver's license.
SELECTION & EXAMINATION
The selection process will consist of competitive application screening for completeness, qualifications, and experience. Application evaluation (weighted 10%) and an oral interview exam (weighted 90%) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved on each portion to be placed on the eligibility list.
