Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs to improve patients' functional abilities across diverse settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in Home Health. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology. The Occupational Therapist will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by promoting their independence and functional abilities. Qualifications A graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Meets personnel qualifications stated in §418.114(b)(5). Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Two (2) years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills. Possesses and maintains current CPR Certification. Reliable transportation required Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop tailored occupational therapy plans. Deliver targeted therapy sessions across inpatient, outpatient, clinic, post-acute, and sub-acute care settings. Utilize manual handling techniques and weight handling skills to assist patients safely during therapy activities. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families on occupational health practices, safety measures, and adaptive techniques for daily living. Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, exercises, and adaptive equipment. Document patient progress accurately and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with medical standards. Experience Proven occupational therapy experience in academic settings or clinical environments with a focus on pediatrics, geriatrics, or post-acute care. Home Health experience preferred Experience delivering outpatient therapy services within clinics or community-based programs. Knowledge of occupational health principles applicable to workplace safety initiatives. Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to diverse patient populations. Skilled in manual handling techniques and weight management within the workplace setting. Certification in CPR is required; additional credentials related to occupational health or specialized therapy areas are advantageous.
